Browser Kiosk System
A self-service kiosk system consists of:
- a monitor having a display screen;
- a microprocessor electrically coupled to the monitor;
- browser software executable on the microprocessor to respond to user
input;
- the graphical user interface (GUI) of the browser software;
- a document
viewing area; and
- at least one image on the screen to mask the controls
of the browser software.
This system prevents a kiosk system user
from tampering with the browser software. The self-service kiosk system
includes security
control
software to prohibit access to the kiosk operating
system.

Relates generally to a method for focusing the content
viewed on web-enabled kiosks by prohibiting access
to unauthorized URLs and
selectively filtering,
displaying, and modifying accessible hypertext
documents.

Building on the patent of browser kiosk system,
this software provides functionality to integrate:

- speakers
- cameras
